Introduction to Printmaking
Full Day, 10am to 4.30pm £120
Saturday May 24 and Thursday 12 June

This is a comprehensive, hands-on, introductory workshop for someone that has no experience, but would like to try both Intaglio and Relief printmaking techniques over one day. You will work in a small group with lots of one-to-one tuition designed to help you decide what direction you might like to pursue as a printmaker in the future. By the end of the day, you will have an understanding of printmaking as an art form, be comfortable using our printmaking equipment and will have designed and produced a Drypoint Etching and a Linocut print yourself.
We will provide you with all the materials you need, along with tea, coffee, biscuits (or cake) and a homemade lunch, so you don’t need to bring anything with you, unless you have special dietary requirements. Please note though, that although our inks are washable and we have aprons in the studio, we recommend that you don’t wear your best clothes when you visit us, as printmaking can be a bit messy.
